At Luminous Eyecare, your vision and eye health are our top priority. All patients will be given the opportunity to have the internal health of their eyes evaluated as a part of a comprehensive eye exam. At our Pineville office, we are proud to use advanced technology to detect early signs of eye diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal holes or detachments, hypertensive retinopathy, and diabetic retinopathy — all of which can lead to partial vision loss or blindness if left untreated.

Just like your dentist takes regular photos of your teeth or mammograms are used for early detection of breast cancer, your eyes deserve the same level of care and attention.

Usually, no dilation needed: Most patients can skip the dilating drops, so there’s no blurry vision afterward!

If your screening or health history shows a reason for a closer look, your doctor may still recommend dilation during your visit.
